Toolkit Mainstreaming Gender in Development: The Pacific Way
The Pacific Gender Mainstreaming Training Kit has been released early-2024 to assist those working in gender work who mentor or teach others, educating colleagues and partners about gender mainstreaming. The Training Kit brings together all the information needed for people working in gender, to develop and deliver training programmes on gender equality, analysis and mainstreaming.
The innovative learning product has been developed with the input of gender experts, and is informed by decades of practical experience in delivering gender mainstreaming training across the Pacific. Many individuals and organisations have been involved in the development of the Training Kit, which was published with support from the Pacific Women Lead (PWL) at the Pacific Community (SPC) programme (PWL at SPC).
The Training Kits contains four modules that come complete with handouts, activities and sets of PowerPoint Training Presentations for use by trainers. Applying the learnings and tools will help people to apply gender mainstreaming in their work, and support Pacific Island countries and territories to deliver gender responsive initiatives.
