This World Teachers’ Day, 5 October, we highlight the importance of qualified teachers in upper secondary education. 

In 2022, Nauru  achieved a remarkable 100% of qualified teachers, showing their commitment to quality education. Tuvalu  had less than 60% of qualified teachers in the same year, demonstrating the challenges in education infrastructure in the Pacific.

Investing in qualified teachers is crucial for nurturing future generations and ensuring equitable access to education. They truly have one of the most important jobs in the world!
