Data Input: Settlement footprint from Kiribati 2020 Population and Housing Census

Population allocated by aggregating 2020 PHC household population at pixel level by sex and by 5 years old age group to generate population grids disaggregated by age and sex. Population allocated by aggregating 2020 PHC household population at pixel level by sex and by 5 years old age group to generate population grids disaggregated by age and sex. Women in fertility age, youth and elder population groups have been included.

The human settlement footprint with population allocated has been converted into a ~100 m resolution raster.

Population projection carried out with the simplifying assumption that national rates apply evenly (without other subnational input data available, it is seen as appropriate for this exercise)
