Data Input: Settlement footprint from combining household listing datasets carried out in 2021 and 2023.

Population allocated proportionally using 2021 Cook Islands Census and Housing population counts at enumeration area level.

The human settlement footprint with population allocated has been converted into a ~100 m resolution raster.

Population projection carried out with the simplifying assumption that national rates apply evenly (without other subnational input data available, it is seen as appropriate for this exercise)
